LES Goes Saturday Night Racing

North East, PA (November 15, 2004) – NASCAR Sanctioned Racing every Saturday night! That will be the new format for Lake Erie Speedway in 2005. “The move to Saturday night will give fans and drivers more bang for their buck,” stated Todd Melfi, General Manager for Lake Erie Speedway. Every Saturday will showcase a variation of our six weekly divisions: Plyler Overhead Door Late Models, Dodge Trucks, Pepsi Legends, Jensen’s Target Collision Figure 8’s, Street Stocks and Bandoleros. Certain Saturday’s throughout the season will also feature special events such as the June 18th USAR Hooter’s Pro Cup Series and the August 6th ARCA Re/Max Series.
“Having one action packed night of racing a week will allow us to feature our local drivers. The local drivers will be racing in front of larger crowds with some nationally televised events,” said Todd Melfi.
Opening night is slated for Saturday, April 30th 2005! A full schedule of events will be released in early December.
