Todd Stone Earns Milk Bowl Pole

Barre, VT - - Todd Stone of Middlebury, VT won the pole for today’s 41st New England Dodge Dealers Milk Bowl, after turning the fastest lap - 13.249 sec. among 50 ACT Late Model competitors in Saturday’s qualifying at Thunder Road.
Stone, the 2003 Milk Bowl runner-up, earned the $1,000 Booth Bros./Hood Milk Bowl Pole Award. His front-row partner, Cooper MacRitchie of Williamstown, a three-time feature winner this season, qualified in 13.251 sec.
ACT Dodge Tour point leader Jean-Paul Cyr finished third in one of two 50-lap qualifying events, and will start sixth. His closest rival, Brent Dragon will start tenth.
Stone held off Phil Scott and Mark Lamberton to win the first twin-50. Patrick Laperle was impressive as the second twin-50 winner and will start in row two alongside Scott.
Eric Williams’ bid to become the third driver to win consecutive Milk Bowls, finds him on the outside pole of the last-chance "B" feature that will start more than thirty cars and qualify seven. Among the "B" feature competitors are DJ Kennington of St Thomas, Ontario winner of the Dodge National 150 last weekend at Lee USA, Dave Whitlock of Petrolia, Ontario, the last driver to win the Milk Bowl two years in a row (‘94, ‘95) and Chad Wheeler 3rd in points at Thunder Road this season.
Post time today is 1:00 p.m. Gates open at 10:00 a.m. Admission is $15/adults, $5/kids (6-12).
